Why Choose Us?

I make hand made wheel-thrown and slab pottery with help from my mom. We are learning as we go (self-taught) and I like all steps from throwing to loading and unloading the kiln after firing. My favorite part right now is glazing. My pots are usually smaller bowls, cups/mugs, tumblers, spoon rests, and some saucers. Colors vary depending on my mood for the day!

Each piece that we make is as unique as I am.  None are perfect,  but that is what makes them special, like me.  Each piece is as pictured and only 1 of each.

Please consider supporting me in my small busines venture. I hope to be able to live in a mansion in California one day.  I want to have lots of top end cars.

I have one of Matthew's bowls!  They are awesome!

About Matthew's HanDS Down Pottery

Matthew Brooks

Potter

My name is Matthew Brooks.  I am 19 years old. I am the 3rd of 4 sons.  I have Down Syndrome.  I don't let that stop me from doing things that what I want to do.  I graduates High School in May 2021.  I think I would like to go to college.  In the meantime, I have learned to make wheel thrown hand made clay pottery.  Mom and dad showed me some videos and TV shows of pottery being made.  Mom and Dad help me with making pots especially with the finer parts, but I am involved in every step of the process from working the clay, bisque firing, glazing, pulling the pots out of the kiln after they are fired to delivering the pots to customers.
